How it works

Three steps. No snooze button.
No mercy.

1

Set the alarm

Pick your wake time and your mission tonight, while you still have willpower. Tomorrow-you doesn't get a say.

2

It takes over

Full screen, through Silent mode and Focus. Silence it and it returns in seconds, then keeps returning until you start.

3

Complete the mission

Do the reps, find the object, solve the puzzle. Verified by camera, sensors or AI. Then, and only then, quiet.

Features

Built to get you up

Every feature exists for one reason: making sure you don't go back to sleep.

An alarm you can't ignore

Real system alarms via Apple's AlarmKit. Full screen on the Lock Screen, through Silent mode and Focus, exactly like the built-in Clock. Except this one has conditions.

Camera-verified missions

On-device vision counts your push-ups and squats rep by rep, and photo missions are checked by AI. Nothing recorded, nothing stored.

Wake up to real music

Search the charts, preview any song, wake up to it. Or upload your own file. Downloaded locally, so no signal at 6am changes nothing.

The re-fire ladder

Silencing the alarm buys you 20 seconds. Then it's back. Abandon a mission halfway and it comes for you again. The only exit is finishing.

Streaks & freezes

Watch a streak build day after day. Two freezes a week cover the odd disaster, so one bad morning doesn't erase a good month.

Wake Check

A few minutes after your mission, a quick check makes sure you didn't crawl back in. One tap and you're done. Ignore it, and the alarm returns.

Snoozing isn't laziness. It's sleep inertia.

Your brain takes minutes to fully switch on after waking, and a normal alarm loses that fight every time. Research shows movement and mental effort end sleep inertia fastest. That is exactly what MissionAlarm makes you do.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What is a mission alarm clock?
A mission alarm clock is an alarm that won't switch off until you complete a task, called a mission. MissionAlarm has over 20 of them: push-ups counted by your camera, hunting down a random object and photographing it, maths puzzles, memory games and more. Silence it and the alarm returns until the mission is finished, which is what makes it different from a snooze button.
Does it really ring when my phone is on silent?
Yes. MissionAlarm uses Apple's AlarmKit, the same alarm system as the built-in Clock app, which sounds through Silent mode and Focus by design. You grant it alarm permission once, and iOS treats it as a real alarm from then on.
How does it count push-ups?
The front camera tracks 19 points on your body using Apple's on-device vision. A rep counts when your elbows genuinely bend and straighten. The same system counts squats and jumping jacks. It runs entirely on your phone: no video is recorded, stored or uploaded.
Can I cheat?
You can silence the alarm with the volume button, and it will be back in about 20 seconds. You can close the app, and the alarm still fires because iOS holds it, not the app. Photo missions are checked by AI, reps are checked by camera geometry. The honest answer: finishing the mission is quicker than fighting it.
What if I physically can't do push-ups?
There are over 20 missions, most with no physical demand at all: maths, memory, word puzzles, photographing your kettle. Every mission has difficulty levels, and exercise missions start as low as three reps.
What does it cost?
MissionAlarm is £29.99 a year, which works out at about 58p a week, or £9.99 a month. Every subscription starts with a 7 day free trial, and we'll remind you two days before it ends so nothing arrives as a surprise. Cancel anytime from the app or your Apple account.
Is there a free version?
No, and deliberately so. An alarm that only half works isn't worth having, so every subscriber gets every mission, the Silent mode bypass and Wake Check from day one. The 7 day trial is there so you can find out whether it actually gets you up before you pay anything.
Is my camera footage stored anywhere?
No. Rep counting runs entirely on-device and nothing leaves your phone. Photo missions send a single photo for AI verification, get a yes or no back, and the photo is not stored by us. Details in the privacy policy.
What do I need to run it?
An iPhone. iOS 26 or later gets the full experience, with system alarms that break through Silent mode. On older versions, alarms are delivered as notifications, which iOS mutes when the ring switch is off, so we strongly recommend updating.
Is MissionAlarm on Android?
Not yet. iPhone first, done properly.

Tomorrow morning,
you'll be glad you did this tonight.
